Q: Do I have to see my doctor or get permission from my insurance company before I come to physical therapy?A prescription (script) from a doctor for physical therapy is always required.Also depending on your plan, a referral may be needed from your insurance company. The referral must be filled out by your doctor on the insurance company's referral form.Also depending on your plan, an authorization from the insurance company may be required.

Q: Clothing: What should I wear?
A: You can wear whatever comfortable attire you that allows you to move easily.

Q: Frequency: How often will I be expected to go to therapy?
A: Typically when patients receive a script from the doctor it is for three visits a week to attain maximum benefit. However, the frequency can differ depending on the patient’s need.

Q: Time: How long can I expect to be at physical therapy?
A: Average treatment time is approximately 45 mins. The time may change depending on which treatments are performed.

Q: Will I have a different therapist each time?
A: Our goal is make sure that each patient is comfortable with their therapist. The only time that a client has to see another therapist would be if the therapist is on vacation or the client is unable to come in during the therapists working hours. Since our therapists are very skilled, we recommend that you schedule your appointments in advance to secure a set time.

Q: What type of treatment will I receive?
A: All physical therapy treatments are carefully tailored to the individual needs of each patient. In all cases, physician communication is initiated and a team-based approach is utilized to assist our clients in attaining their goals. Based on our initial evaluation and physician recommendations,
we will establish a plan of care to meet our client’s needs.
