It taught me to first and foremost believe in myself, self esteem, self confidence, respecting customers and their opinions, discipline, and going above and beyond what is needed to stand out from the crowd.
Here is my story of how I started out in the business world. I never had a lemonade stand or delivered paper on weekends, and never been a businessman. Walking home from Martin Van Buren high school in Queens village, NY, whenever I see a mature person mowing the grass or shoveling snow I would say “take a break, I got it”. I never took any money from them until it was forced upon me. Very few people took advantage of my good nature but majority didn’t. Word got around the neighborhood fast that I was the go to kid for anything that needs to be done around the house. Years later when I graduated from PT school and started to look for a job, I realized that goal of most employers was to keep the patient as long as possible. This strategy was adopted by many so that maximum money can be “milked” from insurance companies! Of course, I vowed against this so I had to open my own practice at age 25 instead of going to clubs. The only marketing I had was word of mouth and it is still remaining as the central part after 18 years! Dr. J Peruvingal DPT.
My idea is for young entrepreneur to buy fidget spinners at $4.50 and sell it for a minimum of $6 or more. I would prefer for them to purchase it using their allowance. Another option would be for an adult to lend them the money so they would learn the importance of getting a loan, paying interest on the capital and learn to appreciate the profit they could be making if they can work hard and be passionate or enthusiastic about what they choose to do.
Prices: $5 for each but if you buy 10 or more, it will be in the project category therefore it’s only $4.50 for each! Great way for PTA's (Parent Teacher Associations) and nonprofit organizations can use it for fundraising. You can qualify for a deep discounted rate when you buy minimum of only 50. We are not suggesting any selling price, we want to leave this to the seller. Seller should come up with a price the market he/she is serving will bear. We can understand that there can be two different price for the same product if it is sold in Long island versus let’s say Manhattan.
